The hull of Vision arrived at our shipyard in mid-September 2021 after a long stay at the shipyard of our friend Gilbert Pasqui in Villefranche, where various works had been carried out over the years.
Upon arrival, the hull was stripped bare: no deck, several missing beams, no cockpit, no interior furnishings, and lacking structural reinforcements in key areas subject to high stress:
- Forestay
- Shrouds
- Mast foot
- Runners
- Mainsheet
- Backstay
- Keel pin checks
All structural interventions were supervised by the Nicolas Fauroux Studio.
The deck was constructed with a mahogany plywood base, followed by the installation of a teak deck, assembled using vacuum technology. The same technique was applied to the central mahogany spine and the gunwale.
The cockpit was built using teak and mahogany, and mahogany skylights were crafted according to the original plans.
All deck fittings were supplied by Toplicht and Ron Valent from the Classic Winch Company.
All halyards and lines were routed beneath the coachroof to a console at the foot of the mast.
Two months of work were dedicated to the hull fairing, with particular attention to the profiles of the keel and rudder.
For the painting, we used Alexseal spray for the topsides and Nautix products for the underwater sections.
The running rigging was supplied by Gottifredi Maffioli, and the electronics by Sailmon.
